The last matchup of NFL Week 6 Sunday Night Football will be an interesting battle. The New York Giants vs. Cincinnati Bengals has the potential to make or break the seasons of both teams.

On one hand, Joe Burrow and his teammates have had the worst start to their season since he lined up behind center. On the other hand, Daniel Jones and his team are slowly stabilizing their game.

That stability comes from good enough quarterback play, a willing offense, and a defense looking to make plays on every snap. But the New York Giants know they will host a team in the Bengals who are inching to win games if they are to make the playoffs. They would have liked if rookie star Malik Nabers was on the field, but they will have to find other ways to score.

The Cincinnati Bengals come in with the NFL world pointing fingers at the entire team. A lackluster trash-talking defense has been the bane despite moments of brilliance from their offense. They know their reputations are on the line if they do not walk away with a win.

Why can the New York Giants win?

The New York Giants cannot rely on Malik Nabers this week as he sits pat in the NFL’s concussion protocol. That actually brings some unpredictability to the offense.

Devin Singletary might be the bell cow against the Bengals if the Giants decide to wear their defense down early. That could end up helping Daniel Jones to spread the offense and get into positions to score.

If Dexter Lawrence and the defense play like how they have been so far, expect their offense to have the ball in their hands more often. That defense will be without star linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux, but even then, they have shown enough to have the respect from the Bengals offense.

Why can the Cincinnati Bengals win?

If there is any team gritting their teeth at their season record, it will be the Cincinnati Bengals. For a team who were expected to fight for the Super Bowl, they look like a team that may not make it to the playoffs. In all four games, they have lost within one touchdown or less, suggesting that maybe they did not fight enough for the win.

Against the Giants, they have the perfect chance to start a winning streak and bring back the confidence within the team. Their otherworldly offense should not have a problem scoring points. That offense under Joe Burrow is the reason they are favored to win this matchup. If they manage to do that well, it will alleviate the pressure off of their defense and seal the win in NFL Week 6.
