Football fans can expect a date for the schedule in less than 2 weeks according to a report by Daily Mail. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and scheduling expert Howard Katz are allegedly set to have a meeting on Monday to start planning fixtures for the upcoming season. The official date for the schedule is expected to be released shortly after their meeting. The league is reportedly aiming to release the schedule for the 2023 season on May 11.

After months and months of speculations and rumors, the former Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets in exchange for a bunch of draft picks. The 10-time Pro Bowl QB Rodgers will now be the starting quarterback for the Jets and will look to lead the franchise to its first playoff appearance since 2010.

On the other hand, Lamar Jackson decided to stay in Baltimore as he signed a 5-year deal worth up to $260 million with the Baltimore Ravens after plenty of trade rumors. That contract makes him the highest-paid NFL player ever by annual average salary. Baltimore also added some elite weapons around Jackson as they signed Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency and drafted wideout Zay Flowers in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Ravens will look to make a deep postseason run in the 2023 season.

Now that two of the biggest stars in football have solidified their future in the league, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell feels comfortable to move ahead with the release of the schedule according to multiple reports.
