“You chose Derek Carr over Aaron Rodgers?!”: Chris Canty is BEWILDERED that Davante Adams chose Raiders over the Packers

Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers have traded wide receiver Davante Adams in a mammoth deal to the Las Vegas Raiders. This will make Davante Adams the richest wide receiver in NFL history as he will be receiving $141.25 million over the next five years.

A major part of this deal has happened due to the presence of coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler. They are the ones who have pushed for the deal in a bid to make the Raiders dominant in the AFC West Division.

Speaking on the “Get Up” show on the ESPN network, Chris Canty has said that he can’t believe Adams chose to be with Derek Carr instead of playing with Aaron Rodgers at the Green Bay Packers. He says the best receiver in football has flawed thinking.

You’re talking about the best receiver in football deciding, ‘I’m better off with Derek Carr with the Las Vegas Raiders than I am staying in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers,'” he said.

However, there is a reason why Davante Adams would choose the Las Vegas Raiders over the Green Bay Packers or more specifically Derek Carr over Aaron Rodgers. The fact is that Derek Carr is a school teammate of Davante Adams which makes their chemistry good.

Moreover, after the confirmation of the deal, Derek Carr took to Twitter to welcome Davante Adams. He wrote -“Welcome Home”.

Davante Adams’s numbers are quite staggering, to say the least. He had 123 catches for 1,553 yards and 11 TDs which ensured he made the Pro Bowl team last year. In total he has 432 catches, 5,310 yards receiving and 47 TD receptions which is the highest in the NFL for the last four seasons.
