There seems to be no end to the misery of Brady Tkachuk. The Ottawa Senators captain continues to grab the headlines for the wrong reasons. This time he has once again become the talking point following a fight with Tyler Tucker of the St. Louis Blues.
A few days ago, Tkachuk found himself exchanging a few words with Carolina Hurricanes goalie Pyotr Kochetkov. The goalie would make an incredible save to deny him. This ignited a fierce reaction from Tkachuk who tried to have a word with him. His emotions seems to have got the better of him again as Thachuk this time dropped his gloves and traded blows to Tucker.

This incident took place in the second period of the game. As the Blues were leading 3-0, a puck drop incident led to this fight. During this brawl, the two players would grab each other’s sweaters (jerseys) and deliver some fistfight action. A few moments after this, they would stumble down the ground leading to the referees breaking up the fight. Check out the clip of the fight shared on X below:
He has previously seen his name circling around on social media for his part in the massive brawl during the Senators-Panthers game. An angry reaction from Tkachuk set off a huge fight in that game which led to ten players being suspended for their actions on the field.
St. Louis Blues thump Ottawa Senators 4-2 in interim coach’s debut
While the brawl between Brady Tkachuk and Tyler Tucker is drawing some attention, the majority of the attention is going to the final results of the game. As in every sport, the final score is always the main talking point. The St. Louis Blues ended their four-game losing streak and defeated the Ottawa Senators 4-2 in the interim coach, Drew Bannister‘s debut.
Following their losing run, the Blues let go of former manager Craig Berube. He was fired from his position on Tuesday night and Bannister was promoted from the organization’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

Bannister could not have asked for a much better start. Robert Thomas had a great time as he scored two goals and assisted once. Bannister would give credit to the team and claimed he was proud of their performance.
It’s not about me, it’s never going to be about me. It’s about the group of players out there. When I look at the game, I’m proud of the way we played. This group has gone through a lot in the last 48 hours and it wasn’t perfect, but they responded well here tonight.Drew Bannister on St. Louis Blues victory over Ottawa Senators through Associated Press.
For the Senators though, things are looking downhill. The performance of the team along with their captain Tkachuk has surprised many with several of them questioning whether he is the right leader for the team at the moment. They are currently bottom of their division table with an 11-13 record and have lost two games on the bounce now.
