It seems not only fans but exNHLer and current analyst Brian Boucher want Sidney Crosby out of Pittsburgh and into another team. The Pittsburgh Penguins are trying to recollect themselves following the disastrous 2-7 loss against Edmonton Oilers.

Penguins captain Sidney Crosby got booed by the fans at PPG Paints Arena as the Oilers relished in victory. The match hit hard to fans as they took action not only by booing, but also expressed their views on social media platforms.

Some of the fans stated how they felt GM Ron Hextall is holding a grudge against ‘The Next One’ and all this is part of his scheme. While some pointed out Crosby should be traded to another team rather than wasting time at the Penguins organization. No one knows how long the 35-year-old will be skating on ice, and they want the best for their favorite player.

The March 2023 trade deadline is just around the corner and NHL analyst Brian Boucher laid out his thoughts on 93.7 the Fan. During their discussion on the current Pittsburgh Penguins team, the former NHLer talked about how he feels no one’s off the table during the trade time.

He feels Sidney Crosby should be out in the market trying for another team, rather than playing hard to survive with his current organization. Fans have started speculating about the supposedly-sour relationship between GM Ron Hextall and Crosby.

During the match against the Oilers, the whole arena started chanting “Fire Hextall!” which went into the third period. Head coach Mike Sullivan has also voiced on acquiring young NHL talents during the trade deadline, but unfortunately, no such requests were heard as of now.

Boucher commented on the situation, stating, “In the offseason, nobody’s off the table for me”. “I mean the stars. I would look at it… I would include Sid.” Though Boucher knew it wasn’t the ideal move but suggested during trade time nobody should be safe.

It’s extremely unlikely Sidney Crosby would like to get traded considering his time with Pittsburgh as the captain. As Wayne Gretzky said, “I mean, he helped save that franchise, when Sid went to Pittsburgh, they were struggling at that point of time. And he saved the franchise, basically.

Even at the age of 35, he’s still capable of producing power plays. Needless to say, Penguins’ victories are heavily shouldered by the pair of Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. They have led the Penguins to numerous wins and are still continuing their race against time.
