If you are an NBA fan you must remember the vintage 2008 NCAA Tournament where the basketball superstar Stephen Curry donned the No. 30 red jersey and made it popular for decades to come. This week, NHL forward Mitchell Marner along with his teammates wore that iconic jersey for a fun play.

The Stephen Curry Davidson College Jersey caught the attention of the four-time NBA champion who he gave his 100% loving approval to the Toronto Maple Leafs’ alternate captain. Marner’s throwback looks sure did catch both the NBA and the NHL world by surprise, especially when the former decided to text on the Twitter images.

Like Marner, his teammates Auston Matthews, and Michael Bunting aimed to bring that Vince Carter Toronto Raptors rookie jersey look in home white. Looking at all these throwback jerseys, it sure was a fun day of practice with basketball.

Stephen Curry commented on the photo posted by NHL  “Thanks for the love Mitch! 100# TCC”. His comment made the 25-year-old very happy as he replied “night night” with a fist and a love emoji. Even in the pictures, you can see how happy Marner was all along.

Though we would have loved a long conversation among the two stars, that was it for now! Maybe they’ll bring some friendship flavor at a later date. And let’s not forget about the upcoming and almost knocking at-the-door NHL 2022-23 season that’s sure going to be filled with lots of suspense and heartbreak.
