Foligno has never been afraid to speak his mind, but after realizing his hilarious moment being broadcasted, he turned into a full daddy mood. He jokingly warns his kids not to listen to his hot-mic moment, or to seek it out.

It was reported that Flyers forward Travis Konecny tried goading Foligno but the latter ignored his invitation. Even though Foligno didn’t drop his glove, an on-ice official penalized him. It was at that moment that the microphones picked up Foligno’s reply which was both unexpected and hilarious.

Nick Foligno commented, “So you’re telling me I should just go f***ing pound his face in?” His unbiased opinion of the official cracked the fans at the arena following the Bruins’ 6-0 victory against the Flyers. The Bruins now have a record of 34-5-4 while the Flyers carry 18-19-7.

Unlike Monday night, in Saturday’s 4-3 win against Toronto Maple Leafs, Foligno dropped the gloves, joining a scrum with Leafs forward Wayne Simmonds. It was a lengthy and entertaining fight.

Following Monday night’s altercation, Foligno was given a light penalty for cross-checking while Konecny was penalized for roughing. He didn’t know his voice caught the referee’s mic.

Only when he came to know about it after the game, Foligno noted, “I heard I had a hot mic moment today,” turning to his son he said, “you are not allowed to watch any of that”.
