Canada once again won the gold medal in the World Junior Championships, one of the most exciting games of ice hockey. During the post-game interviews, forward Connor Bedard undoubtedly had a unique experience.
He was not only interrupted by fans and captain Shane Wright, but he himself paused during his interview. While the forward spoke with the interviewer, the crowd continued their excited chants of “MVP! MVP!”.
Secondly, Connor Bedard interrupted himself, noting that he didn’t want to speak about his plays any further, but would like to talk about his team and the incredible win. The most hilarious one was when Shane Wright literally jumped on Bedard making a funny yet scary expression (maybe in an attempt to scare) on a live TV interview.

Dylan Guenther became the OT hero of the Canadian team, as he led the last goal to victory. While the stage was perfectly curved out for Canada they lost their 2-0 lead as the Czechs struck twice with 4 minutes left in 3rd period. They tied the game 2-2. Unfortunately, it was only short-lived as Dylan stormed out their winning goal.
It was undoubtedly one of the best buzzworthy and electrifying moments for Canadian fans, as cheers overflowed the arena. Hoisting the golden trophy and doing a victory lap were the most satisfying and heartwarming moments of the World Championship game.
The fans will surely not forget Thursday night’s victory moment at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nove Scotia. It was Canada’s 2nd consecutive victory, 5th since 2015. The Canadian team has recorded the most all-time wins dating back to 1977, winning 20 gold medals since then.
One fan commented after the OT win, according to Yahoo Sports, “Golden goal, can’t ask for more.” While another fan commented, “How else can you feel? Canada won gold. Couldn’t ask for a better win”. The fans celebrated throughout the country as they participated in a parade in the Nunavut community of Baker Lake.
