“Up for a heli ride?” – Twitter rejoices as forward Alex Newhook takes Stanley Cup on helicopter ride in Newfoundland

Colorado Avalanche forward Alex Newhook has a bit different schedule planned for Lord Stanley, apart from its usual chores. The Cup’s been on plenty of vehicle rides including cars, planes, fire tanks, jeeps, and even a boat.
But has it ridden the helicopter with a Stanley Cup champion before? Avalanche player Newhook sure took the Cup to literally “new heights”, on Monday respectively. The summer’s full on and the Cup’s journey is not yet over.

Alex Newhook plans a blasting celebratory day with the Stanley Cup
Newhook took the Stanley Cup on a helicopter ride to tick a part off his to-do list things with the trophy for the day. A day-long celebration went in full swing at his hometown St. John’s, Newfoundland. He had his fish and chips from the Stanley bowl itself. It was a fun day, with a parade and party on the day’s menu.

The 21-year-old made sure that the trophy was secured on the helicopter. He tied the protective belt and even put on some headphones for the Cup. Alex Newhook started the day by taking the Cup around town and also hitting a few popular sights. The Cup also severed as the referee to the “Newy Cup” a ball hockey game, and ended with the winner team, clicking a few photos before finishing all his itineraries for the day.
