Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby won everyone’s hearts last night with his classy gesture against a big-time rival crowd in the Philadelphia Flyers. The Canadian ice hockey star was recorded on camera by the spectators while giving a fan a puck during warmups.
However, the NHL followers later came to know that the lucky person wasn’t just any fan he was giving it to, but Brian Page. For those who don’t know, the 18-year-old was paralyzed during a hockey game after taking a hit during a game in November 2020. Notably, the teenager was all set to play in the North American Hockey League for the 2020-21 season, and many even believed that Page had the potential to not only play for a major college but also be a possible NHL draft pick.
This move from Crosby gained him a lot of love even more from the rival side at their home arena. Crosby even went on to clinch the game for his side and the Halifax native even assisted two goals.

Penguins coach Mike Sullivan hails Penguins’ Players
The Penguins continued with their red-hot form in the ongoing season as they registered their ninth straight triumph – their longest since winning 15 in a row in March 2013. The coach of the Pittsburgh-based side, Mike Sullivan, looked extremely delighted after this win as he went on to say:
“I thought he was in beast mode tonight,” Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. “When he’s playing the game that way, he’s the standard-bearer for the team.”
“I give our players so much credit for their resilience,” Sullivan said. “Our team has been competing hard consistently. We’re not perfect. We’re striving for it.”
