Cody Rhodes had a successful title defense at Bash in Berlin. He beat his good friend, Kevin Owens, in a stellar match. It was a moment for celebration for the American Nightmare after having another banger performance at such a fantastic event. He celebrated this moment backstage with a couple of people, including the Women’s Champion Nia Jax, who had an intriguing message for him.
The Irresistible Force took to Instagram to share a few pictures with Cody Rhodes. She wrote that she is only clicking these because of the fact that both of them are champions. In another story, Nia Jax mentioned the rivalry between Rhodes and her Samoan family. Obviously, she meant that posting these pictures doesn’t mean she is on good terms with the Undisputed Champion.
It was a subtle shot towards the iconic feud between The Bloodline and the American Nightmare. Jax has revealed numerous times that she is open to joining the Samoan faction if she gets a chance. With Rhodes having an upcoming match against one of her family members, Solo Sikoa, this post was appropriate for the situation.
Moreover, the 39-year-old has some unfinished business with the Tribal Heir. In their last encounter, Roman Reigns interfered, which led to the fall of Sikoa and a victory for Cody. It is going to be interesting to see the outcome of this match, which might decide the future of SmackDown for the weeks to come.
Cody Rhodes addressed Vince McMahon’s documentary on Netflix
Netflix is going to release a new Vince McMahon documentary next month. It was a buzzing question if WWE has any sort of involvement with this documentary. On Saturday, Cody Rhodes was present during the Bash in Berlin post-show press conference instead of Triple H. The former AEW EVP addressed a question regarding the upcoming docuseries.
He clearly said he has no idea if WWE has any involvement in this documentary or not. The American Nightmare called it a misinformation that is being circulated on the internet. Therefore, he said anyone doesn’t need to believe anything until an official report emerges.
I don't know; I think there's a bit of misinformation in terms of WWE having no involvement in this documentary as far as I know. I would imagine I will get around to seeing it.Cody Rhodes via Bash in Berlin post show
Moreover, the Undisputed Champion was asked if he would be watching the series or not. He said he is rewatching Game of Thrones at the moment, which makes it a bit uncertain for him to tune in to any other show. However, it all depends on when the series officially releases.
