It could've been catastrophic for Tiffany Stratton had she not been pulled out of trouble after a bad mix-up with a camera wire at ringside.

This week’s SmackDown was an eventful one, to say the least. In the main event, Nia Jax successfully retained her Women’s Championship against Michin in a street fight. Tiffany Stratton could be credited with pulling her bestie, Jax, over the finish line as she repeatedly slammed the challenger with her Money in the Bank briefcase. At one point, Stratton even thought of cashing-in her contract on a grounded Nia.

However, Stratton retreated once Jax caught her then and there. After the match, the duo of Nia and Tiffany planned on battering Michin even further, but their plans were halted when Bayley made her return. It was her first appearance since losing the women’s title to Jax at SummerSlam. Bayley went right after Tiffany, who cost The Role Model her gold at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

However, there was quite an injury scare at one point while Bayley was chasing The Buff Barbie. As the latter was trying to get out of harm’s way, she had her left leg catch one of the camera wires at ringside. Stratton was awkwardly perched on the barricade when the mishap ensued. Fortunately, Ms. Money in the Bank didn’t tweak her leg, thanks to Bayley‘s timely interception, who unhooked the wire off Tiffy’s shoe.

Afterwards, the 35-year-old even had a swing at Stratton. The two have been at daggers drawn since after WrestleMania XL. In fact, Tiffany almost upset the former Damage CTRL leader in merely her first title defense at Backlash in France. The champ eventually brushed aside the initial exploits from Stratton and pinned Naomi in an entertaining three-way bout. But it seems like Bayley and Tiffany are far from being done with each other.

Is Tiffany Stratton primed for a successful Money in the Bank cash-in?

This year’s Money in the Bank brought the break Tiffany Stratton was pegged for ever since debuting on the main roster. She outmaneuvered five other women to climb the ladder and retrieve that briefcase hanging up high. She’s now entitled to a women’s title match whenever and wherever she wants.

Stratton hasn’t quite really weighed in on her chances outside of SmackDown. At this point, most of the fans are expecting that she’ll ultimately turn on her best friend Nia Jax to take the gold off her. However, WWE could swerve their audience by having the 25-year-old go after the Women’s World title, which is solely exclusive to Monday Night Raw at this point.

Liv Morgan‘s the champion, and she’s been engrossed in a bitter rivalry with Rhea Ripley for quite a while now. Who knows if Stratton cashes-in on them the next time Morgan and Ripley lock up for the strap?
