Nia Jax announced her arrival on SmackDown in some fashion and went straight for the top prize. The Irresistible Force interrupted the No. 1 contender’s match between Tiffany Stratton and Naomi after being drafted to the blue brand earlier. She brutally attacked Bayley, who was on commentary, and caused the match to go to a no contest.

After Buff Barbie ruined the title match between Naomi and Bayley last week on SmackDown, the two contenders contested for an opportunity at the title. The winner would’ve gotten a chance to compete against The Role Model at Backlash. Meanwhile, Nia Jax became the newest SmackDown Superstar during the second round of the WWE Draft. She immediately put the champion on notice by attacking her from behind.

The 39-year-old Superstar stayed out of the title picture for a long time before finally grabbing the opportunity at Elimination Chamber. She fought against the then-Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, in the main event but failed to win the title.

Since then, Jax has become the perennial title contender, along with stars like Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan. The Irresistible Force was also a favorite to win the 15-woman battle royal on the latest episode of Raw, but her arch-rival Lynch went on to win the title.

By targeting Bayley, she has cemented herself as a legitimate threat to her championship. Since her return to the company, Jax has impressed fans with her in-ring skills. Before her release from WWE, she faced a lot of criticism for seriously injuring other superstars due to her recklessness.

During the build-up to Survivor Series 2018, SmackDown superstars invaded Raw and laid waste to all the red brand superstars. Amidst the chaos, Jax delivered a devastating punch to Lynch, causing her to bleed from the nose. While speaking with Chris Van Vliet on his podcast, The Man disclosed that although she was able to finish the segment, she did suffer a concussion. 

I had no clue where I was, I had no clue where I was. I was like, 'Where, where are we? How did I get here?' I was able to run on autopilot all the way up to that and then it was just black. I had no clue.

Lynch further added that her fellow superstars asked for her well-being in the hospital. Although she was medically not cleared to face Ronda Rousey, this moment ended up transforming Big Time Becks into a future Hall of Famer.
