In 2024, Nia Jax had a strong year, winning the Queen of the Ring tournament and earning a shot at the world title. She made the most of it by defeating Bayley for the WWE Women’s Title at SummerSlam. However, the Irresistible Force has been absent since losing the title to Tiffany Stratton and competing in a few matches afterward.

Many fans believed Nia Jax was absent due to an injury. However, that wasn’t the case, as she debunked the rumor on social media. She posted on X, calling the news of her injury “false.” Her absence is likely because WWE currently doesn’t have a suitable storyline for her.

During her reign as WWE Women’s Champion, Jax was involved in a compelling storyline with her friend-turned-rival, Tiffany Stratton. Their dynamic was constantly tested, as the Buff Barbie often teased cashing in her Money in the Bank contract but never followed through—until the January 3rd episode of SmackDown. After The Irresistible Force defeated Naomi, the 25-year-old finally cashed in her contract and won the title.

Although Jax saw it as a betrayal, she still praised Stratton and admitted she was impressed. Their rivalry continued when Jax teamed up with Candice LeRae to face WWE Women’s Champion Stratton and the legendary Trish Stratus in Canada at Elimination Chamber. Stratton pinned the 40-year-old veteran to win the match. Fans are now expecting Jax to return soon, with some suggesting the best time would be after WrestleMania.

Nia Jax took a dig at a longtime rival Rhea Ripley on social media

Jax has had some great rivalries over the years, but her feud with Rhea Ripley stands out as one of the best. They battled for the world title and delivered several standout matches. Their bouts at Elimination Chamber last year and Saturday Night Main Event earlier this year were highly praised by fans. Recently, The Irresistible Force took a jab at her longtime rival on social media.

One fan shared a video clip of Jax hitting her finishing move, the Annihilator, saying she was deeply missed in the ring. The former WWE Women’s Champion responded on X, saying she loved to “sit” on Ripley’s face. What Jax meant was that if she ever got the chance to face the Eradicator again, she’d do exactly that.

Mami is currently in a heated rivalry with Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair. If she wins the title at WrestleMania 41, fans might see Jax return from her hiatus to challenge her. While it’s still unclear when Jax will return to in-ring action, she’s gone from being heavily criticized to genuinely missed by the WWE Universe.

Nia Jax has been a huge fan of her cousin Jacob Fatu

The Anoa’i family is one of the most legendary in the wrestling industry, and its fastest-rising star is Jacob Fatu, who has been dominating the SmackDown roster since his debut. In an interview, Jax shared her thoughts on her cousin’s WWE journey.

In an interview with MuscleManMalcolm, the 40-year-old veteran was asked if she had a memorable story about Fatu. Jax said everyone should be scared of him and even called him a “killer.” Despite his intimidating persona, she revealed that Fatu is one of the nicest people she’s ever met.

Anybody needs to be worried about him and one of the most talented human beings I’ve ever seen step into a ring. One of my favorite stories is when he was going through his troubles and he was watching the boys on TV and changing his life around, you know, look at him.

The former WWE Women’s Champion then shared a story about Fatu’s struggles. She explained how The Samoan Werewolf turned his life around after watching his cousins succeed on TV and make names for themselves. Jax said he took initiative and quickly rose to the top of the roster. She had high praise for him and said she’s always in awe whenever she sees him perform in the ring.
