After three years, Nikki Bella made a triumphant return to WWE at this year’s Royal Rumble. Appearing as a surprise entrant in the women’s match, Bella managed to last until the final four. During her time spent in the match, the WWE Hall of Famer eliminated Bayley and went head-to-head with some of the biggest stars in the company. Reacting to her comeback, Bella took to her Instagram account.
The former Divas Champion looks thrilled with how her return played out. Moreover, Bella promised her fans that this was not a one-night-only deal. While speaking on a social media exclusive, Bella teased that she has now returned on a regular basis, ready to take on new challenges ahead. The legend first appeared at the Raw Netflix premiere, generating significant buzz on social media.
As a result, reports circulated stating that Bella and WWE were in talks for a potential return. Immediately following that, fans speculated about the possibility of the 41-year-old making a surprise entrance in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
One-half of The Bella Twins boasted an impressive record in the 30-woman match. Despite only appearing thrice, Bella has eliminated seven superstars. Furthermore, she has even finished as the runner-up in the inaugural match in 2018.
While she might not be at her best currently, it goes without saying that Nikki Bella‘s immense popularity could bolster WWE’s views. Having said that, it will be interesting to see how her latest run plays out as the road to WrestleMania approaches.
Who else returned in the Women’s Royal Rumble match?
Going into this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble, there were a lot of names rumored to return in the match. And WWE did not disappoint in delivering on those expectations. In addition to Nikki Bella, Trish Stratus made her comeback inside a WWE ring after almost two years of absence.
The Hall of Famer returned for a run in 2023, engaging in a feud with Becky Lynch. Speaking of the latter, she surprisingly did not enter the women’s match. The Man had been long rumored to return after recently signing a new contract with WWE.
A star who did appear, despite reports of her being at a standoff with WWE, was Alexa Bliss. The former Women’s Champion received a massive pop as she came out donning ‘Fiend’ colors. Elsewhere, Jordynne Grace officially made her WWE debut at the Royal Rumble, also putting in an impressive performance.
