The ongoing feud between Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella went up a notch on this week’s Raw. The two of them engaged in a war of words, with insults being traded from both ends. A point came when Bella said that Lynch lacked class, she’s cheap, and she’s another C-word that the WWE HOFer revealed to be cowardly, but everyone in the building knew what Bella was actually up to.

What was even more hilarious was Lynch’s animated face after being called so. The reigning women’s Intercontinental Champion quipped that being called a coward felt way worse than the other C-word she thought Bella was going to say. ‘The Man’ eventually accepted Bella’s challenge for a shot at her IC title, but only at Clash in Paris. Lynch dumped on Birmingham by saying that she wasn’t going to wrestle there.

The ‘Irish Lass Kicker’ also joked that the only good thing that came out of the English city that died a month ago, Ozzy Osbourne. Lynch gave the late singer credit for moving to Los Angeles. She wasn’t done talking trash about the locals, and the final nail in the coffin was Lynch saying that if she were to live in Birmingham, she’d have died too.

After that, Bella re-entered the conversation and asserted that ‘The Man’ was frustrated because she knew her name would never be bigger than Bella’s. ‘The Fearless One’ then grabbed Lynch’s IC title belt and claimed it’d be hers come this Saturday in Paris.

Trying to get one up on the Barmageddon host, Lynch set her up for a Manhandle Slam. Bella, however, reversed it and lifted the Irish grappler on her shoulders for a Rack Attack 2.0, but Lynch escaped.

Becky Lynch’s mic game has been savage of late. Three weeks ago, on Raw, she was confronted by Nikki Bella for the first time in their ongoing beef over the women’s IC title. After some lighthearted exchanges, Bella made it personal with Lynch when she dragged Seth Rollins into it.

The former Divas Champion slammed Lynch’s husband for lying about his knee injury to the entire WWE Universe. ‘The Man’ was incensed and couldn’t stand the disrespect hurled toward Rollins, whom she referred to as a “hot husband.” Lynch affirmed that she and Rollins are the greatest wrestling couple in WWE history. What came after that completely caught Bella off guard.

The 38-year-old Irish lady quipped that Bella could’ve been in the conversation of greatest wrestling couples with the man whom she can’t see anymore, which was an obvious dig at her previous relationship with John Cena. That segment ended when Lynch landed a right jab on Bella’s face as a cheap shot.

This weekend at Clash in Paris, Becky Lynch will look to consolidate her ongoing title reign, which has already been an overwhelming success in the eyes of the fans. The Limerick-born star won the Intercontinental title from Lyra Valkyria at Money in the Bank in July. They had a trilogy of singles matches that culminated with Lynch beating her compatriot in a No Holds Barred match at SummerSlam.

Even Bayley has tried to wrestle the title away from ‘The Man’ but didn’t succeed. Could Nikki Bella get past the wizardry of Lynch in the French capital? It would need a ton of resolve from the San Diego native to outmaneuver someone as technically sound as Seth Rollins’ wife.

The former Total Divas host had her first one-on-one match in over 7 years against Chelsea Green on an episode of Raw in June. By the looks of it, Bella is in the best physical shape of her career, but certainly lacks enough real match experience that she might desperately need to oust Lynch.
