Two of the greatest Serbian professional athletes of all time are Novak Djokovic and Nikola Jokic. Djokovic has also given the NBA star his fair share of praise. Novak Djokovic had ‘huge praise’ for Serbian compatriot Nikola Jokic
Nikola Jokic is probably one of the best players in the NBA alongside NBA greats like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant. Jokic has outclassed these big names over the last 2-3 years in the league. Not only that, but he has single-handedly carried his Denver Nuggets side to the 2023 NBA title.
In relevance to this, his Serbian compatriot Novak Djokovic showered Jokic with immense praise. In an interview with the Denver Post, Djokovic shared unfiltered admiration for the Nuggets star.
These statements from Djokovic particularly came after watching him live against the Los Angeles Lakers on March 2, 2024, in the Crypto.com Arena. The tennis legend was present with fellow Serb Vlade Divac on the sidelines.
With 35 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in the game, Jokic greeted Djokovic right away postgame, sharing a heartwarming moment.
