Two of the greatest Serbian professional athletes of all time are Novak Djokovic and Nikola Jokic. Djokovic consistently dominates tennis, winning numerous medals and trophies, while Jokic is a top basketball player in the NBA, representing the Denver Nuggets. Notably, both athletes share immense respect and admiration for each other.
The Joker, a three-time NBA MVP, was named the MVP of the NBA Finals in 2023, the year his Denver Nuggets won their first NBA championship. Djokovic, meantime, has earned 24 grand slam victories in men’s singles competition, more than any other player in tennis history. Djokovic has also given the NBA star his fair share of praise. The tennis legend stated once that his Serbian compatriot ‘had completely changed the landscape of European hoops.’ One cannot disagree with Djokovic’s claims as Jokic has well and truly been an influential player for his side ever since his arrival in the NBA.

In relevance to this, his Serbian compatriot Novak Djokovic showered Jokic with immense praise. In an interview with the Denver Post, Djokovic shared unfiltered admiration for the Nuggets star.
