Novak Djokovic becomes the latest Brand Ambassador of Hublot Watches

Tennis icon Novak Djokovic has finally agreed to team up with a leading watchmaking company. Ahead of the 2021 US Open, where he is going for history, the Serbian superstar has become the latest ambassador of luxury brand Hublot.
As Djokovic takes the court for his opening round in New York, he is expected to wear the Hublot watch on his wrist. “I am very excited to join a brand that appreciates sports and athletics and supports our profession and invests in us athletes,” Djokovic told GQ.
“I’ve never worn a watch during my professional matches, so that will actually be another new adventure for me. It matches my overall style for the tournament,” he explains. “My shoes and gear will be blue, so I decided to go blue all the way,” the World No.1 explained.
Djokovic might be the latest addition to the Hublot team. That said, the leading watch brand is also proud to have several sporting greats Usain Bolt, Kylian Mbappé, Dustin Johnson, Pele and Masahiro Tanaka in the Hublot family of athletes.
“As an athlete driven by the ambition to make history in tennis, I am particularly proud of the opportunity to join the Hublot family, which already boasts athletes who have left their mark on their respective disciplines by becoming legends like Pelé or Usain Bolt. With Hublot, we still have so much to win, together,” the tennis player stated, according to a press release.
Will the Hublot watch bring luck for Djokovic in New York?
The 20-time Grand Slam champion will not only be aiming to win his fourth title in New York, but he will also be keen to surpass rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the all-time Grand Slam tally.
However, the biggest prize for Djokovic will be the Calendar Slam. Although he has held all Majors together in 2015-16, the top seed has never won all four Slams in one year.
