As we saw a dominating performance by Rafael Nadal by defeating Novak Djokovic in the French Open 2020 final. Nadal not only won his 20th Grand Slam title but also widened the gap between him and Djokovic who has 17 Grand Slam titles to his name.
Tim Henman, a former Top 10 player shared his opinion on the GOAT race. He commented, “Novak Djokovic could pass Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal in GOAT race.”
Djokovic is in his primes: Henman
Looking at his performance in 2020 (losing just one match apart from the default) Djokovic has had a majestic run. as he dominated in each tournament he has played. There is no doubt in the Serb’s physical condition as he will try to finish yet another year at the No. 1 spot.
“If I had to pick one player who will win the most majors, it would still be Novak Djokovic. I look at this game, his physicality, he seems like he is in good shape. I think Rafa’s body has been a beaten up with those knee problems,” added Tim Henman.
Djokovic in 2021 will be eyeing to get close to Nadal and Federer’s record of 20 grand slams each. He should be looking forward to defending his titles at the Australian Open and Wimbledon if he succeeds in defending the two he will be a title apart from equaling the record.
