Novak Djokovic has been a phenomenal icon in tennis. Despite being 36, the Serbian continues to play and compete against the younger generation of players. However, he doesn’t want to reveal who he thinks is the greatest of all-time players (G.O.A.T.) when asked by Nick Kyrgios.

Since Djokovic won his first ATP title in July 2006, he has risen to unprecedented heights in tennis, winning titles each year before the first quarter.

It’s only this year that he has failed to continue his record. But his dominance in the sport came after he turned 30.

Not like many of his compatriots, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, Djokovic has won twelve of the twenty-four major titles since turning 30 in 2017. Last year, he proved how much of a winner he is by claiming three of the four Grand Slams, making it the fourth time he has achieved the feat in his career.

With 24 Grand Slams, he looks beyond the reach of any player (at least for now), beating the tally of Nadal with 22 and Federer with 20.

However, when asked about who he believes is the GOAT of tennis, Djokovic was reluctant to share his opinion, as he believes not mentioning the player’s name would help people talk more about tennis.

It is difficult for me to discuss it, especially when it comes to tennis, although I enjoy it when people talk about it. And the reason is, the more people talk about that topic, the more people talk about tennis. As a tennis player, I want as many people as possible to be interested in tennis, for as many children as possible to be involved in it. I will never say who I think is the GOAT. I leave that to others.
Novak Djokovic said in a show with his friend Nick Kyrgios.

Meanwhile, Djokovic has been experiencing a tough start to the season. He has yet to reach a final or win any title this season and was recently beaten by Chilean Alejandro Tabilo in the third round of the Rome Masters.

Novak Djokovic focused on giving his best in the remaining three Grand Slam events and Paris Olympics

Novak Djokovic is aiming to perform at his best in the three remaining Grand Slam events and the Paris Olympics. The Serbian reached the semifinals of the Australian Open but has now put that behind him with his focus on the French Open.

The 36-year-old will be turning 37 a few days after Roland Garros starts. He will be hoping to defend the major title despite his poor performance in Rome.

Obviously the block of Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, Olympics and US Open is the most important of the year for me. That's the priority and what I'm setting my form for. Roland-Garros is definitely where I want to arrive ready to fight for a title.
Novak Djokovic said

Djokovic will be heading into the French Open, which starts on May 20, as the favorite to win the title, with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz still doubtful of participating.
