Rejuvenated Djokovic hopes spiritual trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina will help him at Roland Garros

Despite being the defending champion, world No.1, Novak Djokovic is not playing the ongoing Madrid Masters. Instead the Serb recently visited Bosnia & Herzegovina to rejuvenate himself before getting back to the tour.
After two surprising losses at the Monte Carlo Masters and ATP 250 Belgrade last month, Djokovic wanted some time away from the game, owing to which he decided to make the spiritual trip.
Speaking to the local media, the 34-year-old said, “I hope to be able to record good results thanks to this energy in the tournaments to come, in particular at Roland Garros, which is the most important for me.”
Djokovic has often talked about the benefits of spirituality
Djokovic shares a healthy relationship with Bosnian guru, Semir Osmanagic, and even credited his success in the past to the guru Osmanagic. In the past too, we have seen Djokovic getting into a relationship with Spanish guru and coach, Pepe Imaz. The Serb is a huge believer in spirituality and has often talked about how meditation and visualizing has helped him overcome odds in the past.
“When I come to see my friend and excellent host Semir Osmanagic, I am always smiling. Last year, I came just before the rest of the season in which I started well,” said Djokovic.
Djokovic and his family have also visited several spiritual and archeological locations of Bosnia & Herzegovina in the past. The 18-time Grand Slam will return to action next week at the Rome Masters, where he has found success multiple times. He is also one of the prime contenders to win his second title at Roland Garros.
