Novak Djokovic has always dreamed of playing at Wimbledon and when he fulfilled his dream and became the champion in 2011, he started an unusual tradition on the Centre Court. He eats the grass after winning the title and recently revealed what the grass tastes like.

Djokovic is in Wimbledon and is two matches away from lifting his eighth title at the SW19, and is set to play Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinal on Friday (July 12). And if he wins the match and beats the winner of the first semifinal between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev in the final, then his 25th major win will see him pluck a few blades of grass and eat them to celebrate his victory

The taste of Wimbledon grass is the best taste you can ever have in your life. Probably a bit salty, a bit sweaty, but who cares? It tastes always good after victory.
Novak Djokovic told Vogue Adria

The secret behind these 24 Grand Slam titles? Djokovic said his “superpower” is his “ability to adapt“.  He has also learned to be in the present moment from his two kids, Stefan and Tara, and credited his small band consisting of him and his children for his 24th Grand Slam win at the US Open.

I almost never wear pants, but I must admit that seeing myself in them now, I could start. I never felt or thought of myself as a fashion icon, but you made me feel that way today.

Djokovic has inched closer to stand beside Roger Federer (eight) as the most successful player at Wimbledon. He faced his semifinal opponent Lorenzo Musetti six times, winning five of the matches. The semifinal will be their third meeting this year, as they previously locked horns in the Monte-Carlos Masters and Roland Garros. The only match that came in favor of the Italian was in the 2023 Monte-Carlo Masters.
