Novak Djokovic remains fiercely committed to competing at the highest level and breaking records, but his greatest dedication is to his children and family. Recently, he shared his heartfelt aspirations for his kids, highlighting his deep compassion and devotion to them.

Despite the hectic tennis schedule, Djokovic has always made sure he is there for his two children, his son Stefan, 10, and daughter Tara, 7. They have also been with him on Tour recently. At Wimbledon, Tara was always in the stands of the Center Court cheering him up. He also dedicates each match victory to her by pretending to play violin with his racket.

Tara was also in the Roland Garros court when he clinched the elusive gold medal at the Paris Olympics. The 37-year-old also became emotional as he hugged her after beating Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets. He has often revealed how precious and unforgettable the victory was, especially his children witnessing it.

During a recent interview with La Nacion, he was asked if his children understood the weight of his stellar career achievement. He revealed that they are aware of it, especially his son Stefan. Nole added that he is more concerned about having a relationship with them than anything else.

It is important that they see me as a father in the real sense of the word, as a father who is at home, with them, who follows the routine, the time to go to bed, to get up, take them to school, talk to them about life, play with them. That’s the person I want to be for them, not the “Novak Djokovic” father who is outside. And I do everything to have that kind of relationship and it seems to be going well, but I don’t know.

Meanwhile, Djokovic is yet to win a tour-level title this season. He made it to two finals in 2024, first in Wimbledon and then in Shanghai, losing both to Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, respectively.

Novak Djokovic reveals what has the ‘best’ God given him

Novak Djokovic has admitted that winning the Olympic gold medal in front of his family was a perfect setting for him. The 37-year-old had, on four previous occasions, failed to win the elusive gold at the Summer Games. His closest to it was claiming bronze in 2008 in Beijing.

Nole finally achieved his dream by winning gold and becoming the oldest male player to achieve the feat. During the interview with La Nacion, he confessed that it was one of the most emotional moments of his career.

This year, we had the Olympics, I won gold for Serbia, and it was the most emotional moment of my career. And when I saw my wife and my children there, I was even more emotional. It was the perfect setting, like a Hollywood movie. What more can I ask God for?
