Olden Polynice Questioning LeBron James’ Leadership Over Helicopter Travel Baffles Fans – “Most Philly Athletes Live in Jersey”

When LeBron James first announced that he was joining the Philadelphia 76ers, many understood that even though he might be going to a new place, his relationships with some of the players made it a comfortable environment.

Fellow Klutch Sports client Tyrese Maxey has been working out with the King for the past few years, and hence has an established friendship with him. Jaylen Brown may not have worked out with James, but they mutually respect each other.

VJ Edgecombe is a sophomore. Hence, he would essentially listen to the oldest player in the league rather than speak his mind. Then comes Joel Embiid, who has played alongside the four-time champion at the Paris Olympics.

They appreciate each other’s game and have shown that they can work together. However, playing a few games does not equate to a full season, and that is why even the 41-year-old reiterated that their on-court chemistry is a work in progress.

The man plays for the 76ers, and he’s jumping on helicopters every day going to New York… So how are you spending time with your teammates, getting to know them outside of practice, which is something that you should be trying to do?

When it was announced that LeBron James would fly to New York by helicopter, it baffled many, who wondered why he wouldn’t stay in Philadelphia. But then, they understood that he wanted to stay in the Big Apple owing to the better chances of building his business.

But when Olden Polynice suggested that the four-time league MVP should ditch the chopper to build chemistry with his new teammates, fans lost their minds. They pointed out that James might already be doing so before he took to the bird in the sky.

Moreover, of all the people who have played in the NBA and been on multiple iterations of four different teams, there is no one better at knowing how to build relationships. Fans know that Olden Polynice and his colleagues at Fast Break have made it a routine to criticize anything and everything LeBron James does. But suggesting something based on social media clips was taking it too far and proved they need to talk about him to generate views.

Another aspect Olden Polynice and the crew of Fast Break touched upon was the news that LeBron James schooled Joel Embiid for arriving to practice a couple of minutes late.

The superstar forward called out legendary commentator Mike Breen for spreading the ‘lies.’ But Polynice believes that the ESPN announcer would not have revealed that without the news being credible.

I’m gonna side with Mike Breen… If somebody brought this to him and he announced it, there’s some credibility to it.

The 61-year-old pointed out that LeBron James is aware of how such narratives can impact the team. That is why he called out the news and shut it down before it got out of hand. But Polynice still believes that Mike Breen was probably right about the news.
