Ole Gunnar Solskjær provides latest injury update on Marcus Rashford

Ole Gunnar Solskjær has confirmed that Marcus Rashford’s injury during half time isn’t a cause of worry and is just a slight niggle. Manchester United defeated AC Milan 1-0 in the second leg of their UEFA Europa league match.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær says Rashford’s injury is not that dangerous

Marcus Rashford had to be withdrawn at half time due to some injury concerns and was replaced by Paul Pogba who made his first appearance in this season’s UEFA Europa League.

Although the substitution was forced upon him it turned out to be an inspired change from Ole Gunnar Solskjær as it was Paul Pogba who scored the solitary goal of the match shortly after coming on. Pogba himself has some injury problems and couldn’t be risked playing for long.

Although Solskjær stresses that Rashford’s injury isn’t something to be worried about, it does put him in doubt for the FA Cup quarter finals match against Leicester City this weekend. Rashford has 18 goals and 10 assists to his name up until now and is a crucial component of the team.

Marcus a little twinge – we couldn’t take a chance on him,” Solskjaer said of Rashford. He couldn’t have played more than 45 minutes,” said Solskjaer. “[His return is a] big boost. The boys have done fantastic without him but we know his qualities.”
