Just when she was 6 years old, she began practising Taekwondo following the footsteps of her elder brother, who was in turn followed by her younger brother. Malak who was well and truly ready for the Olympics to be held in 2020, was shocked when the games were postponed, and began training in her living room.

Malak’s first big conquest was at the African Taekwondo Games in Maputo, 2011. She won a Gold medal. And then, four years later in the same competition at Brazzaville she won the silver. Her best haul in African Taekwondo Championships was during 2016 Port Said, where she won the Gold. Malak also has a gold medal at the Military World Games in 2015 Mungyeong.
Malak took part at the 2012 London Olympics, but was stopped in the quarterfinals. At the 2016 Rio Olympics she performed much better, and won the Bronze medal. Besides this, Malak has two bronze medals (2015 Moscow and 2019 Rome), one silver (2016 Baku) and one gold medal (2015 Mexico City) at the Taekwondo Grand Prix.
