Karate at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics has been a big hit. This is the first time the sport is being featured in the Olympics. With the Games nearing its business end, August 6 has exciting Karate events lined up. It starts off with Men’s Kata Elimination and Ranking Round in the morning.
Then, it’s time for Kumite. At 12:28pm local time, the Women’s Kumite 61kg category will see the elimination round taking place. The Bronze and Gold Medal matches will take place in the late evening. Men’s Kumite 75kg category is scheduled for the evening starting off with the Elimination round.
Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 Karate Live Stream – August 6 Preview
Giana Lotfy of Egypt the world no.1 in Women’s 61kg Kumite and Xiaoyan Yin of China, the world no.2 will be the ones to look out for in the morning session. Lotfy will be taking on Alexandra Grande of Peru, while Yin will be facing Claudymar Garcés of Venezuela.
In the men’s 75kg Kumite, Luigi Busa of Italy, the world no.1 will be facing Tsuneari Yahiro of Australia. Stanislav Horuna of Ukraine, the world no.3 will be taking on Abdalla Abdelaziz of Egypt.

Where will Karate be held at the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020?
Karate at Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 will be held at the Nippon Budokan. It is known as the Spiritual Home of Martial Arts. Located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, this venue has a capacity of almost 14500. It was opened in the year 1964 for the Tokyo Olympics 1964. It was renovated last year ahead of the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
