“That’s just shameful” – Trans cyclist Tessa Johnson SHOCKING 10th gold medal win in Chicago cycling event draws heavy criticism and controversy in women’s sport
Trans cyclist Tessa Johnson has shocked the world as she clinched her tenth gold medal in women's category.

The ongoing topic regarding the involvement of transgender athletes in women’s sports continues to spin new stories. Despite, several developments from states, educational institutions, and organizing bodies, there seems to way for another development regarding this topic to occur. In the recent chapter of this, a trans cyclist Tessa Johnson won two more gold medals.
The athlete was recently spotted at a Chicago competitive scene where she dominated the tournament. The 25-year-old impressive performances though are getting slammed on social media. An account on X shared this development and vented that Johnson is a cheater and should return her medals in shame. This was later reposted by Riley Gaines.

Social media reactions towards Tessa Johnson’s win
The inclusion of trans athletes in sports including cycling has been a trending topic this year. The victory of fellow trans athlete Austin Killips sparked major controversy in May. This led the UCI, the governing body of cycling events to change the rules regarding their inclusion. Ever since the development broke out, there have been many who have slammed Tessa Johnson.
During the Chicago Cross Cup race, Johnson would take home the first prize while her cycling partner, another trans cyclist Evelyn Williamson finished second in the race. The duo also won a team race under the name of “TS-ESTRODOLLS”, a direct reference to the female hormone estrogen.

With the duo of Johnson and Williamson seeming unstoppable, will the UCI once again change their rules, remains to be seen. It certainly seems that the rage from fans could lead to the body taking this step in the near future.
