ONE fighter Stamp Fairtex has just made history after taking out Ham Seo-Hee with a body-shot KO in the third round of the ONE Fight Night. The main event in Singapore saw Fairtex becoming the new undisputed ONE Championship atomweight champion. Just like her victory, Fairtex amazed her fans with an entertaining walkout consisting of a dance performance.

Before becoming the champion, Fairtex entered the arena with a blockbuster dance performance. Her fluidity in her dance moves displayed an amazing amount of confidence. The fans went ecstatic after watching Fairtex perform on such a big night.

Her ONE championship atomweight title was upgraded from an interim belt due to Angela Lee‘s retirement from the sport. Reports suggest that Lee bowed out because of her 18-year-old sister Victoria Lee‘s death. In her post-fight interview, Fairtex mentioned Lee and showed her affection and respect towards the former champion. The victory makes Fairtex a three-sport world champion. Her previous titles came from sports like Muay Thai and Kickboxing, but now MMA has joined the list.

ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong also awarded Fairtex with the bonus of a night consisting of a whopping US $ 50,000. Despite facing adversity in round 2, Stamp secured a clean victory due to her Muay Thai implementation in round 3 of the fight.

Stamp Fairtex calls Angela Lee her idol despite her retirement

ONE atomweight champion Angela Lee has yet to compete ever since her last fight in October 2022. Reportedly, Lee was dealing with some mental health issues due to her sister, Victoria Lee’s death. Victoria died by suicide this past December. Due to such circumstances, Angela bowed out of the sport by making the ONE Night Fight a championship event.

Due to some uncertainty regarding Lee’s retirement in the past, the fight was set up as an interim title fight. However, Fairtex didn’t make any mentions of the title before the fight, despite the situation. The new ONE champion showed love and confessed her respect for Angela’s decision. Her victory at the event was followed by a mention of Angela Lee in her post-fight interview.

Fairtex’s victory against Ham Seo-Hee makes her a three-sport champion. After previously winning in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, Fairtex made history by winning in MMA. She became the first fighter in ONE Championship history to earn gold in all three disciplines. Later, Fairtex also received the bonus of the night for the third time in her entire career.
