“One for the good guys”: Shane Lowry takes a well deserved Wentworth Victory, a first after 2019

Shane Lowry swept an eagle and five birdies for a seven under-65 finish after a 38-month-long victory-less time on the DP World Tour. He left behind Rory McIlory and Jon Rahm for his terrific comeback in the BMW PGA Championship and claimed his 6th DP World Tour Title.
He practically amazed all fans with a bogey-free week at the Went worth and secured his first win since The Open in 2019. The competitors Mcllroy and Rahm lagged behind by one when Lowry closed on 17 under. Talor Gooch finished the fourth place and Patrick Reed in fifth, with a four-way tie after final- hole eagle at 67 and a bogey-free 63 respectively.

Shane Lowry took a start with a birdie. Rahm had set a clubhouse target at 62 after the round of the day. Lowry was able to move the birdie within one of Rahm and eventually took advantage of the par-five twelfth of Rahm.
He gracefully headed to the final round with two strokes off the lead. He holed from the fringe at the seventh following a 10-feet eagle at the par-five-fourth.
Meanwhile, McIlroy, placed eagles at the fourth. However three-putted from a distance. His eagle attempt fell short of a few inches to reach the target and brought him on under 16 at the leaderboard alongside Rahm. Rahm canceled out a bogey at the 15th with a birdie-birdie-eagle end.
The DS Automobiles Italian Open will be held in Italy next where we see DP World Tour from Thursday onwards. Matt Fitzpatrick and Mcllroy are sure to appear for the Italian Open. We are excited and looks like so are you!
