Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw was the moment fans could finally say that Otis was free from the shackles of Chad Gable. He embraced his old self during his tag team match against The Final Testament. The former Heavy Machinery member even brought back the forbidden move, much to the delight of fans.
The New Day’s Xavier Woods teamed up with Otis and Akira Tozawa to take on The Final Testament. On the latest episode of Raw, the babyface trio faced off against Karrion Kross and the Authors of Pain. Unexpectedly, the action was significantly better due to the Japanese wrestler’s impressive performance and the huge reaction for Otis.
However, the highlight of the match was when Otis brought back the Caterpillar move, which Chad Gable had previously forced him not to use. The crowd was clearly behind the former Alpha Academy member for standing up to the Olympian and being his own man. Unfortunately, Kross took advantage of a momentary opening and delivered the Final Prayer on Woods to win the match.
After the match, Gable and his new allies, The Creed Brothers, confronted Otis, Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri. The heels soon unleashed a beatdown on the trio, but before it could escalate further, the Wyatt Sicks appeared. Uncle Howdy made a statement by delivering Sister Abigail to Gable. Given the dynamics, fans might witness Wyatt Sicks’ in-ring debut against Gable and The Creed Brothers at SummerSlam.

Otis often stays active on social media, sharing posts about various aspects of wrestling as well as about his family and friends. The latest episode of Raw was significant for him. He won everyone’s hearts when he distanced himself from the 38-year-old star and protected Maxxine and Tozawa.
Despite the loss, he put on an impressive performance in the six-man tag team match. The crowd also expressed their love for him when he finally used his trademark move, the Caterpillar. Otis reciprocated the love by posting on X, expressing that he loved the Wisconsin crowd.
