The Royal Rumble is no secret to surprise appearances. From returning legends to newly debuting stars, all have been seen trying to punch their ticket to WrestleMania. The 30-man match has also featured various celebrities in the past, such as Pat McAfee. There were even talks of Tyrese Haliburton making an appearance this year, but plans were ultimately shut down, mainly because of Triple H.
During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Tyrese Haliburton revealed that he wanted to be in the Royal Rumble. A lot of people even asked Hunter whether he was going to be in the match or not, but the Cerebral Assassin simply laughed in their faces. The Indiana Pacers point guard speculated that The Game was afraid of putting him in a physical segment right between the NBA season.
Haliburton brought up Jalen Brunson’s involvement at the 2024 Royal Rumble and how he had appeared with a broken hand. This allegedly caused the King of Kings to freak out behind the scenes. The 24-year-old joked that this incident nearly gave Hunter a heart attack.

Despite not being a part of the match, Haliburton was present at the Lucas Oil Stadium for the Royal Rumble event. He even made an on-screen appearance during McAfee’s segment. Furthermore, he was also a part of SmackDown the day before and even celebrated with Jimmy Uso following the Samoan’s win over Carmelo Hayes.
Triple H promises an industry-changing weekend ahead of Elimination Chamber in Toronto
WWE has been facing some issues with the build to WrestleMania 41. The hype is nowhere near what it was last year during the same time. However, Triple H has promised that it’s all going to change after the Elimination Chamber after an “industry-changing weekend.”

One of the segments that could truly make this an industry-changing weekend is The Rock’s segment in Toronto. Cody Rhodes is finally going to give an answer to the Final Boss and reveal whether he is willing to sell his soul. Fans cannot wait to see what role The People’s Champion will play heading into the biggest show of the year.

Another much-hyped part of the show that can cause a ripple in the wrestling world is the Men’s Elimination Chamber. The winner of this match will get to main event WrestleMania by facing Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship.
Furthermore, the winner will also likely be involved in the drama between the American Nightmare and The Rock. The current favorites to win this match are John Cena and CM Punk. However, the Stamford-based promotion could pull a complete swerve and give fans someone who is totally unexpected.
