Britain Hart wins over Paige VanZant

Former UFC flyweight superstar, Paige VanZant ended her terms with UFC and signed a new deal with the Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship. VanZant was paired against BKFC veteran, Britain Hart. The UFC star came into the new league with amazing pay and also with a lot of hype.

Paige was coming off a loss against UFC star Amanda Ribas. Paige lost the fight via submission in the first round. Meanwhile, her opponent from BKFC was coming off a victory in the Bare-Knuckle league. Hart lost her first two fights but managed to bring the momentum back in her way.

In the fight held on February 6th, in Florida, Britain Hart beat Paige VanZant by unanimous decision. Paige managed to make it to the final bell but ultimately suffered a loss.

The debutant showed great spirit and heart in her first bout against a BKFC veteran like Hart. The Judges ended up scoring the fight 49-46 favoring Britain Hart.

“I made this moment about the people who believed in me, not the ones that don’t,” said Hart after her win

Britain Hart continues her run of wins at the BKFC. After the victory, Hart was caught in the moment saying, “This is awesome.”

“This is as big as you make it. Bec Rawlings knocked my teeth back in BKFC 2. Paige VanZant you knocked my teeth out. I made this moment about the people who believed, not the people who didn’t believe.”

Even though Hart won the match, Paige was seen dealing with the veteran pretty comfortably. VanZant showed solid footwork and also some power as she threw a range of punches.

The right hand from Hart won her the match as it troubled the debutant all night. At the end of the fight, it was very clear that Hart landed more effective punches.
