Pascal Siakam cites Luka Doncic trade with Marshawn Lynch reference while testily dodging NBA rule change question
The Luka Doncic trade seems to have shaken every franchise player to the core, and Pascal Siakam feels the same as his peers in this regard.

Pascal Siakam and Luka Doncic
Pascal Siakam is celebrating his third All-Star game selection of his career in rather circumspect fashion. The Indiana Pacers star had some measured words when asked about what changes he would make if he was given the opportunity to impose his authority on the NBA, preferring to keep his opinion to himself in the backdrop of the Luka Doncic trade.
Speaking to media personnel at the All-Star Weekend media briefing, the Cameroonian G-League product was asked whether there’s an NBA rule he would like to change as of the current time. Siakam was initially nonplussed by this, as he didn’t expect questions requiring such well-thought out answers. He therefore opted to keep his trap shut, hoping not to stir the pot. He did, however, throw a bone of a soundbite for reporters to latch on to.
Bro, I don’t like getting into… I’m just here so I don’t get fined… I’m cool with everything. They traded Luka [Doncic] last time, I’m trying to chill.
Pascal Siakam said
Siakam’s Marshawn Lynch-like attitude towards this trade is far from unique. The likes of Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Anthony Edwards, among others, have all decried the trade of the best young franchise player in the NBA away from the Mavericks.
Reporter: "If you could change 1 NBA rule, what would it be and why?"

There could be a sense of full uncertainty among even the best players in the league, now that a top-2 to 3 player has had to change uniforms against his will.
Siakam will be playing alongside some of these aforementioned players on Team Chuck in the brand new All-Star Game format this year. Siakam lines up alongside 5 other international stars, Trae Young and Donovan Mitchell in what seems to be a global team of sorts.
NBA fans react to Pascal Siakam making a Luka Doncic reference
Siakam’s words have definitely been received in the exact vein one would expect NBA fans to take it in. Whole factions of fanbases are still aghast and reeling from the shock of the Doncic trade. Not only do they have to deal with the Lakers taking the league’s best young star for possibly a decade or more, they also have uncertainty about whether their own front offices would trade their franchise players away.

Everyone in the NBA world thinks it was insane to trade Luka except for Nico Harrison.

Why’d bro get so nervous? Lmaoo. Could’ve picked any rule and went with this. Like “I’d eliminate backcourt violation”

Siakam and his Global team will likely be underdogs against a stacked ‘OGs’ team in the All-Star game, should they cross paths. While they do have the three best players of this season, it is unlikely that they play better at All-Star weekend than LeBron James and Stephen Curry.
