Patrick Beverley is enjoying the hospitality of Israel

Patrick Beverley has been a man full of surprises but none surprising than when he traded the NBA for across the Atlantic to play for an Israeli-based team. And with the change in scenery and culture, he shared what he’s loved the most since joining up.

On a recent episode of his popular podcast, ‘The Pat Bev Pod,’ the veteran guard talked about how he has been treated fairly and with open arms by his new hosts. Patrick Beverley, by all accounts, is indeed enjoying his time in paradise by this latest revelation.

I mean the Jewish community, they’ve been showing love since I got here. Just wanted to dive into the culture a li bit… that was my whole thought and process before I did it… it’s been life changing.

Patrick Beverley said

However, while it may appear that he is receiving a LeBron James-like kind of treatment, he is actually putting in the work, and impressing fans with his skills. This has led his team to a four-game unbeaten run so far.

Although there are fears for his safety, he has come out to talk about it and says he feels safe and fine. Apparently, fans of the team are glad he decided to join them when he left the Bucks.

While he’s enjoying the hospitality, his performance hasn’t slacked as the Hapoel Tel Aviv is off to a strong start. The veteran guard explained on his podcast that he underwent 11 drug tests due to excessive water intake after fasting for Yom Kippur.

I’ve been playing great basketball, we’ve been playing great basketball. We won 4 in a row, we just beat Jerusalem in Jerusalem, that was a vibe. After the game, I got drug tested and had to take 11 drug tests.

Patrick Beverley shared

His team, the Hapoel Tel Aviv is on a four-game winning streak, which has also coincided with his impressive performances. He led the team in scoring (14.8 points), rebounds (6.3), assists (5.0), and steals (2.5) in four EuroCup games.

Furthermore, his latest outing saw him score 15 points, grab five rebounds, and dish five assists in a 79-66 win over Dreamland Gran Canaria. As a result, his team sits second in the EuroCup standings with a 3-1 record and a plus-29 point differential.
