The Kansas City Chiefs star tight end once again proved that he gives the cutest nicknames to his loved ones. And this time, that loved one happens to be his best friend and quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ mother.
Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna, is promptly known as ‘Mama Kelce’ but it appears he addresses Randi Mahomes with a similar version as she revealed. During her recent appearance at the 2024 ESPY Awards, Randi told People magazine that Kelce adorably calls her ‘Mama Mahomes,’ while talking about the fraternity of Chiefs locker room.
The superstar quarterback’s mother also shared a sweet story involving Kelce’s nickname for her just from the night before the award function. On the eve of the ESPYs, the tight end greeted Randi with a warm hug, saying, “Mama Mahomes, Mama Mahomes” as they met for dinner. Moreover, she called his son’s best friend, “a ball of energy,” who always greets her as Mama Mahomes out of habit.
Randi attended the award function to show her support for the three-time Super Bowl champion quarterback. He won the Best Athlete in Men’s Sports at the 2024 ESPYs, for the second consecutive time.

Just like Mama Kelce, Randi is also quite involved in the life of his NFL player son, which ultimately connects her to the Chiefs. While speaking to People, she also described the close bond and brotherhood shared by the Chiefs player, which certainly reflects in their on-field performances.
