After Tom Brady, if anyone is considered capable of becoming the next GOAT, it’s the Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes. The franchise truly hit a jackpot when they drafted the quarterback, who made them a dynasty in the NFL in a mere seven years and still have a long way ahead. 

Up until the 2017 NFL Draft, when the Chiefs drafted Mahomes following a trade for the No. 10 overall pick with the Buffalo Bills, they have had just two Super Bowl appearances and one Vince Lombardi trophy. But as the elite quarterback took over, he led the team to win three out of their four Super Bowl appearances in the last five years along with six consecutive AFC championship game appearances.

Not only that, Mahomes led the Chiefs to their second consecutive Super Bowl trophy last season and enlisted them as one of the only two teams in the history of the NFL to do so. With such attainments, he established himself among the most successful quarterbacks in the history of the NFL not to mention became the face of the NFL.

As the three-time Super Bowl champion completed his seven years playing and building his legacy in the NFL, the Chiefs’ official X handle shared a celebratory post for him with a collage of his two pictures– first from his rookie season and second from his seventh season.

Mahomes reposted the post with a happy face emoji to enshrine his time in Kansas City. When the post caught the eyes of his mother, Randi Mahomes, she gave the sweetest reply to his son’s repost, expressing feelings of both disbelief and nostalgia.
