The musical night takes over as Bruce Boudreau’s firing rage slowly dies down in Vancouver Canucks. Current head coach Rick Tocchet was honored by his two friends who performed a musical piece honoring their former co-analyst.
The video clip went viral as Paul Bissonnette and Henrik Lundqvist performs on NHL on TNT, delivering an emotional night to the fans and to Tocchet. The two former players though called out Tocchet for fun, they noted how much they’ll miss him on the TV end.
Bissonnette and Lundqvist performed Green Day’s Good Riddance, as Tocchet watched their performance online from Seattle. After Bruce got fired from the organization, things have been boiling over in Vancouver as well as all over on social media.

Their little performance at least lightened up Rick Tocchet’s mood, as he undoubtedly has his course of work cut out for him. As Henrik Lundqvist strummed on his guitar, a video montage of their ex-coworker played in the background.
Paul Bissonnette said, “This one goes out to my steam room buddy Rick Tocchet. I’m gonna miss that sweaty, disgusting body, my friend,” before starting on with their performance.
It was only a minute into their performance that Tocchet spoke up, “Oh my god, oh my god, that was unbelievable”. Not long after Bissonnette wept on the microphone saying, “I’m going to miss you man”. It was a sweet farewell to an old friend, as Tocchet now has to focus on their upcoming game against Seattle Kraken.
After Tuesday’s win against Chicago Blackhawks, Tocchet got a score of 1-0 on his book. He needs to fill it up to show the changes he can make to the team and the organization. Especially since things with Bruce have yet to die out completely, everybody will be monitoring the Canucks success under Tocchet.
Things took an ugly turn not only because of Jim Rutherford’s clumsy way of handling the firing process but also because Bruce Boudreau spoke up that he actually didn’t want to leave the organization. Nevertheless, a new head has been placed to rule the uneven team and see how far he can take it from here.
