Jamal Crawford, a three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year, enjoyed countless standout moments during his 20-season career. However, his 52-point explosion against the New York Knicks remains one of his most iconic performances. This achievement highlights his scoring prowess, which often made hitting the 50-point mark seem effortless.

On a recent episode of Paul George‘s podcast, Crawford shared stories from his playing days and offered insights into how to score 50 points in the NBA. While George himself has had many memorable nights in the league, he has yet to reach the 50-point milestone—a feat Crawford broke down with ease for listeners.

You can get 50 easy… By the way, it’s definitely a system. First off, you gotta shoot 17 threes… so that takes you right there to 24-27. You gon’ get 8-10 free throws cause they gonna be fouling you, you get 37. You gonna get 4 middies… common bro 45 and a few layups you already there.

Interestingly, George has never had a 50-point game in his NBA career. On December 5, 2015, Paul George scored 48 points in a game against the Jazz, his highest point total to date. Additionally, he scored 47 points twice in 2018 against the Brooklyn Nets and against the Portland Trail Blazers in 2019.

Some find it very tough to score 50 points in their NBA career, while for some players it’s just a walk in the park. For instance, with 13, James Harden had the most 50-point games in the 2010s. During the 2010s, Russell Westbrook, Damian Lillard, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant all had five or more 50-point performances.

Paul George’s bold declaration regarding ‘once-friend’ Chris Paul

In a recent segment of his podcast, Podcast P with Paul George, Paul George talked candidly about the repercussions of his relationship with fellow NBA star Chris Paul. After a violent argument on the court, George openly shared how a once-strong friendship soured, which was a turning point between the two players.

I’m not the fondest of CP these days, but that’s kind of where I fall off came about. You know what I mean?… I think it was a playoff matchup against Phoenix, or it was a regular season game. Can’t remember which one it was, but we get into it…. Words was thrown out there that shouldn’t be thrown out there between two men. That kind of just drew the line for me.

Their intense rivalry, most notably the 2021 Western Conference Finals between George’s Clippers and Paul’s Phoenix Suns, is perhaps the root of the hostility.

Throughout the series, tensions were high, and both players were frequently observed speaking to each other. The words that were exchanged here led to the fallout in their friendship.
