As Michael Cole said on commentary, Paul Heyman pulled off the coup of the decade on SmackDown. The Wiseman not only made his shocking return to WWE, but he also solved The OG Bloodline’s fifth-member issue. Heyman introduced his former client, CM Punk, who emerged to help his longtime friend. Following the incredible ending, Heyman has finally broken his silence on his comeback.
The WWE Hall of Famer posted a screen recording on his X account. The clip shows him going on the YouTube trending page where last night’s segment is listed as #1 on it. Furthermore, Heyman highlighted the popularity of The Bloodline storyline and emphasized his allegiance to Roman Reigns. This isn’t the first time that a segment featuring the faction has garnered millions of views on social media, and it likely won’t be the last.
Reigns and The OG Bloodline were caught by surprise when Heyman uttered the famous “Ladies and gentlemen!” catchphrase. After all, The OTC did not expect his Wiseman to appear following the ending to last week’s SmackDown. Once again, the 59-year-old saved the day for his Tribal Chief by bringing in Punk to be the 5th member of the OG Bloodline WarGames team.

The last time fans saw Paul E. on television was at the Madison Square Garden episode of SmackDown in June. The Bloodline sent Heyman crashing through a announce table after he refused to acknowledge Solo Sikoa. As a result, Paul Heyman remained absent from WWE programming for almost five months. Now that he’s finally returned, it will be interesting to see how he helps Reigns regain control of the Ula Fala.
How The Bloodline’s attack on Paul Heyman came back to haunt them
Although the roof off the Delta Center exploded when CM Punk returned, some fans online questioned the booking decision. A few users didn’t understand why Punk would team up with Roman Reigns and The OG Bloodline. Well, it might have something to do with the aforementioned attack on Paul Heyman at MSG.
A week prior to the attack, Punk and Heyman interacted in a WWE ring for the first time in over a decade. During their segment, Heyman put over how much Punk meant to him before asking the latter to take him away from The Bloodline. This prompted Solo Sikoa to come out and confront the duo, almost leading to a brawl between both sides.
Having said that, The Second City Saint has unfinished business with the faction that put his friend on the shelf for months. Therefore, he has seemingly decided to set aside his differences with Reigns and seek revenge on behalf of his former advocate at Survivor Series.
