Since losing against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL, Roman Reigns has been on hiatus from WWE television. While his faction, The Bloodline, continues to run rampant on SmackDown, fans are eagerly anticipating his return. Having said that, Paul Heyman spoke about The Tribal Chief’s aspirations once he returns. The Wiseman, on the latest episode of SmackDown, revealed that Reigns would focus on winning back the title from Rhodes.
In a backstage segment, Heyman confronted Solo Sikoa and asked whether they were on the same page. The Hall of Famer raised concerns about the former NXT North American Champion’s new recruits, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. Moreover, he clarified to Sikoa that when Reigns returns, they will keep The American Nightmare “in check.” Hence, it confirms the Bloodline leader’s intentions to reclaim his title.
However, Paul Heyman didn’t disclose when exactly the Head of the Table would return. Roman Reigns competed on both nights at the Showcase of Immortals. First, he teamed up with his cousin, The Rock, to thwart the duo of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, thus setting up a Bloodline Rules match on Night 2. Despite the odds being tipped in his favor, Dusty’s kid had backup ready in the main event championship match.
Jey Uso, John Cena, and The Undertaker arrived to neutralize the threat of the rest of The Bloodline. In the end, it was Reigns’ trauma from The Shield breakup that got the better of him. The record-breaking champion attacked Rollins with a steel chair, allowing Rhodes to take advantage and dethrone him for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Solo Sikoa had an interesting response to Paul Heyman’s Roman Reigns revelation
In the aforementioned segment on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa told Paul Heyman not to worry about Cody Rhodes. The Enforcer claimed that Cody Rhodes was already “in check.” A visibly concerned Heyman asked Sikoa what he meant by that. However, before the Tribal Heir could say something, Kevin Owens‘ music hit.
The Prizefighter, who has been in an eternal feud with The Bloodline, called out the faction. At the behest of Sikoa, Heyman reluctantly made his way to the ring. The Wiseman tried to reason with KO, warning him that the group was full of thugs who could destroy anyone in their path. Owens didn’t buy anything the legend had to say and accused him of trying to manipulate everyone.
Nonetheless, it does seem that Heyman has been kept out of the loop in regards to The Bloodline’s decision-making. More importantly, despite Sikoa saying otherwise, none of what has transpired since WrestleMania has involved Roman Reigns’ input. Needless to say, this adds a lot of intrigue to the dynamics of the faction once The Tribal Chief eventually returns.
