Prior to the SmackDown edition of the WWE Draft, Paul Heyman issued a statement regarding Roman Reigns. The Wiseman let the executives and the WWE Universe know that The Tribal Chief withdrawn himself from the Draft pool. Heyman, in a backstage interview with Kayla Braxton, explained the reason behind the shocking development.
The Hall of Famer asserted that this was a positive rather than a negative. Furthermore, he went on to establish Reigns’ run as the top Superstar on SmackDown, praising him for making the blue brand relevant. Paul E claimed that the Head of the Table would be “hogging” the No. 1 pick if he was eligible for the Draft. He clarified by revealing that Roman Reigns won’t be appearing on television in the immediate future.
Paul Heyman ended his announcement by seemingly taking a shot at Solo Sikoa. The ECW legend justified Reigns’ actions by mentioning that’s something that a “real Tribal Chief” would do. The Enforcer has taken over The Bloodline since WrestleMania XL. Since Sikoa went rogue, he has kicked out his brother, Jimmy Uso, from the faction and introduced Tama Tonga as the newest member of the faction.
In doing so, the former North American Champion has possibly kicked off a civil war against Reigns. Speaking of The Tribal Chief, he was recently spotted at Disney World alongside his family. In addition to that, the Head of the Table was also captured filming for an upcoming Hollywood project.
Paul Heyman looked terrified after Solo Sikoa arrived on SmackDown
After Roman Reigns voluntarily withdrew himself, the first two rounds of the WWE Draft went by without The Bloodline getting picked. Moments later on the show, Paul Heyman was backstage awaiting the arrival of Solo Sikoa. The Tribal Heir was accompanied by the “MFT” Tama Tonga. However, he looked disappointed after finding out about the faction’s status.
As a result, a terrified Heyman tried to explain what transpired last night. However, before he could do so, Kevin Owens ambushed Tonga and Sikoa from behind. This escalated into an all-out brawl between both sides.
As The Bloodline pair ambushed KO inside the ring, Randy Orton arrived to make the save. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis later confirmed that Orton and Owens would team up to face Tonga and Sikoa at the upcoming Backlash PLE. As for their brand status, the faction was drafted to SmackDown during the third round.
