As the NBA regular season draws to a close, basketball fans witnessed the Phoenix Suns upset the Minnesota Timberwolves in the final few games, avoiding a Play in the tournament. For Kevin Durant and the Suns, it was an easy game. Paul Pierce, however, had made his prediction for the game and selected the Suns as the victors before game night. Yes, that was an accurate forecast, but he had interesting reason for betting on the Suns.

In a recent episode of ‘KG Certified’, there was a segment titled “Ticket & Truth” wherein the participants pick the teams that will win the Sunday game. Paul Pierce selected the Suns, while Garnett selected the Wolves. Pierce claims that the Suns have players with greater experience than the Wolves, including Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Whereas Wolves have the young blood and won’t make it to the winning side.

If Phoenix plays the T-Wolves you ain't confident. You got these experienced cats at the bottom. If they gotta play these young boys, man, that experience might just show.
Paul Pierce reasoned

Pierce’s prophecy came true, and the Suns prevailed 125-106. Bradley Beal scored 36 points, while Booker contributed 23 points. Durant only had 15 points, which was a little off. They did, however, manage to secure the sixth slot and escape the play-in round.

Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant gives LeBron James kudos for defeating the Pelicans

Kevin Durant thanked the Lakers for winning against the Pelicans and helping them secure the No.6 seed in the Western Conference. Both teams secured a win in their final game. For the Lakers, LeBron James gave an amazing performance and had a triple-double. After the Suns games, Durant was asked about the win.

It's crazy, it's a long season, but you got to play every game down to the wire. Every game matters. Glad the Lakers came out and did their thing too.
Speaking in the post-match interview, Kevin Durant said

The Suns also managed to avoid facing the Lakers in the postseason with this victory. Their first playoff game will be against the Wolves, whom they have dominated this season, winning all three of their meetings. The Wolves will now host the Suns in the upcoming week.
