Paula Badosa and Aryna Sabalenka have set an example for ‘best friends on tour’ as they are constantly seen hanging out and having fun with each other when they are not busy demolishing opponents on the tennis courts.
Despite being so close, they have had to play with each other multiple times just this year. They met at consecutive tournaments in Miami and Stuttgart, with both matches having an emotional ending. They face off again in the third round of the French Open, just a month after their previous meeting. Badosa addressed how she feels about Sabalenka, and the match leading up to it.
I'm really looking forward for that match. I think the last time it finished in a sad way, so I learned a lot from that match also. I think it was a very good one from both sides. I know what I'm going to find from her side Saturday. I know how I have to play against her. So, yeah, I think it's going to be fun.Paula Badosa said via Roland Garros Press
She also spoke highly of her opponent and friend, which is a rare sight in the tennis world, especially when two players are set to play each other in a Grand Slam match.
She has a big personality, good girl, always bringing this good energy, even on court. So you can see a very active, very intense player.–Of course sharing the court with her after all these results she’s doing and all this is a pleasure for me, because, you know, this past year hasn’t been easy. So playing these kind of matches, it makes it all worth it, you know.
Paula Badosa added
The match is set to happen on Saturday and is sure to gather a large audience.

Paula Badosa rekindles her relationship with Stefanos Tsitsipas as its relationship galore at the French Open
Relationships in the tennis world are no new sight to the general public, with legends like Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf having married each other.

This year’s French Open sees multiple such acquaintances in the city of love, with some of the next-generation players publicly admitting their relationship status. Jannik Sinner confirmed that he is indeed dating Anna Kalinskaya. Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter have been going strong for over a year now, and Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina have tied the knot and started a family together.
However, the most talked about pair is the one of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa, as they had announced their break up earlier this month, only to be seen back together again in Roland Garros. They confirmed that they are back with each other and are set to play in the mixed doubles event as well.
