Jean Silva, representing the Brazilian Fighting Nerds, has quickly become one of the most entertaining, unapologetic, and rising UFC fighters today. The undefeated featherweight holds the #10 ranking in his division and has already set his sights on securing an eventual title shot. Beyond being a brutal finisher inside the Octagon, Silva embraces trash talk, even sparring verbally with middleweight Paulo Costa.

Silva’s last fight was against Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314, where he secured a dominant victory by submission. The heated rivalry between Silva and Mitchell fueled the bout’s intensity, and the animosity between them does not appear resolved. Recently, Silva delivered scathing remarks toward Mitchell in an interview, also voicing frustration with former contender Paulo Costa.

(expletive) Bryce Mitchell. We can explain that, sometimes the energy just don’t match. That’s different people, different natures, different character, and that’s just how it is. It’s always been [this way] my whole life. If I don’t like you, I’ll just straight up say it to your face I just don’t like you. Like with [Paulo Costa], I just don’t like him very much. But he’s huge, in a different weight class, so I’m never going to fight him, but in the streets, all bets are off…(expletive) Paulo Costa.

Silva’s rivalry with  Mitchell is public, but his growing disdain toward Costa has not been fully addressed yet. Costa, meanwhile, is famous for blending humor with fighting, showcasing his entertaining personality and unmatched ability to create viral memes. Over recent years, he has cultivated a loyal cult following on social media, further boosting his star power.

As expected, Costa responded to Silva’s comments and mentioned, “You Little dwarf pendejo naughty little child you’re so small for me”. The Brazilian is a heavy middleweight and has also fought in the light heavyweight division, making the size difference huge. It will be interesting to hear more from Silva about the reason behind his latest comments on Costa.

Silva now carries tremendous responsibility, being the only undefeated fighter left representing the ambitious Brazilian Fighting Nerds team. At UFC Paris last week, teammates Caio Borralho and Mauricio Ruffy endured their first career defeats, shaking the team’s momentum. Although their marketing power has been affected, Silva still has the chance to redeem everything by capturing featherweight gold.

Currently, Silva is scheduled to fight former title contender Diego Lopes in the main event of UFC Noche. Lopes is coming back from his devastating title loss against Alexander Volkanovski. Going into the fight, Silva is the betting favorite due to his incredible momentum, and fans are hyped.

Paulo Costa gets a callout outside of UFC

Former UFC middleweight Darren Till secured his third straight boxing victory at Misfits Boxing 22, defeating fellow veteran Luke Rockhold spectacularly. The fight was intense and brutal, with Till delivering a crushing knockout in the third round to finish Rockhold decisively. Since then, Till has gained newfound confidence, openly calling out several fighters and showing a strong interest in continuing boxing.

Till has expressed interest in facing big names like Jake Paul, KSI, and former boxing world champion Carl Froch. His outspoken nature led to a heated feud with Andrew Tate, sparked by personal remarks Till made during a callout. Now, Till has shifted his attention toward a new opponent, targeting UFC middleweight star Paulo Costa for a fight.

I wish Paulo Costa (Pauline) would leave the UFC to come & box me. I’d (expletive) stone his big fat stupid Brazilian juice taking head to the canvas.

Costa has yet to respond to the callout as he was busy preparing for his fight with Sharaputdin Magomedov. However, recent reports have suggested that this fight, which was expected for UFC Qatar, might not happen. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see any more updates of official revisions to this fight date.
