“PCB should also be willing to go to a neutral venue for WC in India next year”- Saeed Anwar slams BCCI for Asia Cup 2023 decision

Amidst the reports of Asia Cup 2023 to be held at a neutral venue, Pakistan’s Saeed Anwar slammed BCCI, saying if India can shift the venue, Pakistan should also be willing to do the same for the ODI World Cup 2023, which India will host.
At first, reports suggested that India will travel to Pakistan for the Aisa Cup 2023, however, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah recently put an end to all the excitement when he announced a neutral venue for the tournament.
“The Asia Cup 2023 will be held at a neutral venue. I am saying this as ACC President. We [India] can’t go there [to Pakistan], they can’t come here. In the past also, Asia Cup has been played at a neutral venue,” Shah told the media after board’s general meeting in Mumbai on Tuesday.
India has played in Pakistan in a bilateral series back in 2008. Political tensions between the two neighbors have restricted their bilateral tours. They play only in ICC tournaments and Asia Cup.

Now Jay Shah‘s announcement annoyed many Pakistani fans. They have openly slammed this decision; former Pakistani opener Saeed Anwar has also done the same.
“When all international teams and international cricketers come to Pakistan for @OfficialPSL, what is BCCI’s problem. If BCCI is willing to go to a neutral venue, then @TheRealPCB should also be willing to go to a neutral venue for the WC in India next year. #PAKvIND #Cricket,” Anwar Tweeted.
