Petr ‘No Mercy’ Yan will defend his title against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 256 Co-Main event
The UFC bantamweight champ Petr Yan is all set to defend his title against the no 1 contender of the bantamweight division Aljamain Sterling at the UFC pay per view, UFC 256 which is going to be held on 12th Dec 2020. This is going to be the co-main event of the night along with the title defense of Amanda Nunes against Megan Anderson as the main event.
Petr Yan occupied the UFC Bantamweight title which was vacated by Henry Cejduo in a match against Jose Aldo at UFC 251 in July. This was Yan’s tenth straight victory in the Octagon, and Sterling on the other hand is on a five-win streak after losing his fight against Marlon Moraes. This win streak also includes the win over Cory Sandhagen by a stunning submission.
This is going to be the first title defense for Petr Yan after he won the championship and Aljamain Sterling is looking forward to dethrone the champion.
Aljamain Sterling is coming for the throne
As soon as this fight was made official Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling started the Twitter watch with each other. Sterling tweeted, “Coming for the throne” it was written on the video, “I can’t wait to shred this piece of paper”.
In other Tweet he said, “Thank you Dana. All I can ask for is the opportunity from the fruits of my labor. December 12th will be the night I will never forget”. No Mercy didn’t took much time to reply he said, “You are right, December 12th will be a night you will never forget just like a December 9th of 2017”. With this, he reminded Sterling of the loss he faced that day against Moraes.
With this fight ‘No Mercy’ and ‘Funk Master’ is looking to hold the UFC Bantamweight Title in their hands.
