She made her MMA debut with Professional Fighting League (PFL) in June 2018, against Brittney Elkins. Kayla Harrison maintained her undefeated streak and won the 2019 PFL Women’s Lightweight Championship by defeating Larissa Pacheco in the finale.
Harrison moved on to Invicta FC to face Courtney King in a Featherweight fight and defeated her via second-round TKO. She returned back to PFL and reached the finale of the PFL 2021 women’s Lightweight tournament and maintained her undefeated streak.
Out of her 11 victories, 7 came in the first round itself and this fight is going to be the last fight of Kayla Harrison’s PFL contract and she would like to leave the promotion with the title and the cash prize of $1 Million.
On the other hand, her opponent Taylor Guardado is in the early stage of her MMA career. She holds a professional record of 3-1 and she made her PFL debut against Helena Kolesnyk on PFL 3.
