In a recent interview with FirstSportz, Sy discussed his encounter with the former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov. During the interview, he elaborated on the warm reception and recognition he received from the UFC Hall of Famer, highlighting the appreciation extended to him. He said,

 "Very nice guy, very funny guy. Very relaxed guy and we had dinner. After dinner we would take a picture and he just wanted to feel my wrestling which was funny because he's so strong. So he was just like playing around a little bit but he's a very nice guy."

Sy mentioned that Nurmagomedov was very nice to him and after the dinner, they even took pictures. According to the fighter, Nurmagomedov took that opportunity to jokingly test Sy’s wrestling abilities, which he often does. The PFL star revealed that Nurmagomedov was very strong and it was overall an incredible experience.

Renowned for his striking prowess in the PFL, Sadibou Sy is now setting his sights on unveiling his wrestling acumen. He is planning to execute it in an upcoming championship bout against Magomed Magomedkerimov.
