6-time major champion Phil Mickelson expressed his gratitude to $328.5 billion worth Elon Musk on Monday. This gesture from Mickelson came after the Tesla and X owner helped in rescuing the stranded astronauts in space.

NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry “Butch” Wilmore left for the International Space Station (ISS) in June 2024. The duo had left the planet for a 10-day mission.

However, due to some technical issues, the duo got stranded on the ISS for over nine months. Space X owner Elon Musk then decided to step in and started a rescue mission.

I can’t imagine being stranded in space for nearly a year. Elon Musk saving America one citizen at a time. Thank you.

Mickelson would even defend Elon Musk after a user pointed out that the astronauts were not stranded in space. The “Lefty” claimed that, if Musk had not interfered, the two of them would still be in space.

tell yourself whatever lies you choose. They would have returned already but they were stranded there. And if Elon and SpaceX didn’t go get them they would still be STRANDED in space.

Phil Mickelson sparks controversy with hot take regarding Scottie Scheffler

On Sunday, LIV Golf star Joaquin Niemann claimed his 2nd LIV Golf title of the year by winning LIV Golf Singapore. Following his win, Phil Mickelson sparked controversy with a hot take regarding World No.1 Scottie Scheffler.

After an amazing 2024 season where he won 9 times, Scheffler is yet to get back into that form. The golfer did miss a few weeks of action of the 2025 season due to a wrist injury suffered during Christmas last year.

Scheffler entered The Players Championship this week as the two-time defending champion. He though was far away from his best and finished T20 this year.

After Niemann’s win, his team Torque GC claimed that the Chilean golfer was at least top-5 in the world right now. Mickelson would claim that he was not a top 5 golfer but instead was No.1.

Former Masters Champion Trevor Immelman would call this a hot take from Mickelson and urged the users to discuss this during the 4-hour weather delay in Florida on Sunday.

The HyFlyers GC Captain would then go on to drop a hot take regarding Scheffler. He believes that Scheffler will not win before the Ryder Cup this year.

Here’s a hot take Does Scottie win in 2025 before the Ryder Cup? I don’t think so.

The Ryder Cup is scheduled to take place this year between the end of September and the start of October. Mickelson thinks that the way Scheffler is playing at the moment, he will not win before this international event.
